EcoWattle Installation Barton Chapel Wind Farm, near Graford, Texas

Customer: Installed by Fiber Network Solutions

A 100+ turbine wind farm in North-Central Texas. EcoWattles addressed several issues:

Strong performance required – because the trenches for the wind farm are located on working farms and ranches, the disturbed dirt must be kept out of creeks, ponds and roads.

Low maintenance required – because the locations are remote, the erosion and sediment control devices must be dependable. Inspections are infrequent and repairs are troublesome.

“Don’t eat the wattle” – most of the wind farm is on open grazing land; mostly cattle with some sheep. The erosion and sediment devices can’t be made with materials that could be dinner. Grazing and other critters won’t eat EcoWattles.

Proven longevity – see the picture of EcoWattles deployed for over 3 years at Earl Campbell Parkway in Tyler
